Curiosity turned into couture.
I'm Jojanneke Tamis, a self-taught 3D printed fashion designer working at the intersection of fashion, technology, and experimentation.
Working across computational design, digital fabrication and material experimentation, I create garments that challenge how fashion can be designed and manufactured. Using parametric design, additive manufacturing (3D printing) and hands-on making, I develop pieces that couldn't exist through traditional techniques.
My journey began with a simple question: what else could a 3D printer be used for? With no background in sewing, pattern making or conventional fashion design, I set out to print a dress. That first attempt may have been rough around the edges, but it ignited an obsession that has only grown deeper. Since then I've spent countless hours experimenting with materials, designing computational workflows and exploring the possibilities of 3D printing for fashion.

Practice
Rather than collections, experiments.
Some become wearable garments. Others remain material studies or prototypes. Each one teaches me something about movement, comfort, structure or fabrication.
I enjoy moving freely between digital and physical making — switching from code to CAD, from printer to workshop, and from prototype to finished piece.

How I work
“For me, the process of discovery is just as rewarding as the final piece.”
I love figuring out how things can be made differently. Some ideas start with a sketch, others with a material, a piece of software, or simply a question I can't let go of. From there, it's a process of experimenting, prototyping and refining until something interesting emerges.
Not every experiment becomes a finished garment — and that's part of what makes the process exciting. Every prototype teaches me something new, whether it's about movement, structure, materials or fabrication.
